Youth at St A's - StAY155
StAY 155 is the dynamic youth group at St Andrew's Street Baptist Church. We're made up of 11-17s and a leadership team of young adults. We try our best to follow Jesus and his teachings while having a load of fun at the same time!
We meet regularly at 10.45am on Sunday mornings, starting in the main service with the rest of the church. After 20 minutes we go up to the Attic at St A's for some games, refreshments, and a talk meant particularly for young people.
We also meet together on Friday evenings at 7pm during term time. These evenings are meant for young people in years 7-11. They include wide games in the hall and a sweet shop!
Our leadership team is made up of young adults who have a passion for ministering to young people. The team leader, Drew, is from the great state of Oklahoma in the USA. He's a keen runner. He and his wife Brittany welcomed their second child in 2017. Brittany is also part of the youth leadership team. She has played for the University Women's Football Club and has recently completed a Theological PhD in Cambridge. Rosie and Jack married in 2014 and have been volunteering with the youth group for several years. They run Friday night activities and are always keen for a meal at Nando's. There are several other leaders who help out on a regular basis, but you'll have to come along to meet them all!
The youth group runs many special events throughout the year including spring and autumn weekends away, Easter Fun days, film nights, regular Uni-hoc sessions, and a big city-wide Christmas Party. If you'd like to find out more, please do contact Drew via the church office or catch him on a Sunday.
