St A's meets for Sunday services at 10:45am for our morning worship. Whether it is your first visit to any kind of church service or if you've been going to church since you were little, you can expect a warm welcome, a chance to worship, listen to a thoughtful sermon and be part of friendly group of people gathering to learn more about God.
Most Sunday evenings during term time we meet from 6:30pm to about 7:30pm for an informal time of worship and prayer together. Please pop in and join us at any time during the hour.
St Andrew's Street Baptist Church
43 St Andrew's Street
We are between the Mandela House City Council building and the Regal Pub/Arts Cinema, close to Downing and Emmanuel Colleges.
We are in the City Centre so you may be able to reach us on foot or by bike; there are bike racks in front of the Church and also further down St Andrew's Street in front of the council offices, or just behind us on Downing Place. We are 5 minutes walk from Drummer Street Bus Station or approximately 20 minutes walk from the train station.
Parking is usually available for the morning service by kind agreement of Cambridge Assessment in their car park on Park Terrace. Please contact us for directions.
Alternative public parking, if staying in the centre longer than the service time or on days other than Sunday, is available at the Grand Arcade (park in the Lower Car Park and exit via Downing Street to get to church quickly) or more cheaply, Queen Anne/Kelsey Kerridge car park at the far side of Parker's Piece.
Children and Youth
Children are welcome to stay with their grown-ups all the way through the morning service if they wish, but we hope they will want to join in all the fun of our separate youth programmes.
There is a supervised creche (play area) for the under 3s in our Lower Hall.
JAM (Jesus and Me) is our programme for those aged 3-11.
Young people in years 7-13 can join our youth group StAY in the Attic
In general, everyone gathers together for the first 20 minutes of the main service before heading off to these activities. If it is your first time, feel free to accompany your child to their group so that you know where they are and can meet the leaders.
After the main service finishes, if you would like prayer, the prayer team will be there to pray with you. There is a chance to talk to the preacher either at the door or over coffee in the church's café.
Please do come and join us!
